Ian & Mary

Hi Hannah,

I thought it might be useful for you to have our thoughts on the 11 days in Tenerife and I would start by saying that everything went incredibly well from check in at Bournemouth airport to our return. Upon landing in Tenerife and the aircraft doors opening we were met by airport staff with wheelchairs, all very efficient and cheerful.

In the arrivals hall we were met by Jean Ortega Flood and once we had collected luggage she escorted us to our car for the journey to Adeje and also told us that we would be visited at the hotel by their local representative Nicky Gormley on the Saturday .On our return to the airport Jean was waiting with a wheelchair as the taxi arrived We were greeted by the happy and smiling staff at Iberostar Grand Hotel Mirador and immediately shown to our room which was spacious, spotlessly clean with excellent bathroom and small dressing room. Within an hour we were sitting in the garden sunning ourselves.

We duly met Nicky on the Saturday. She is a delightful girl as is her manager Jean and Nicky spent about 30 minutes with us. Just in passing we mentioned that we were missing our early morning tea and as the hotel does not have tea making facilities Nicky very kindly arranged for a kettle and cups to be delivered from Prestige and this was greatly appreciated.

The Hotel has a fabulous swimming pool surrounded by large gardens where we spent most of our time. Our visit was for relaxation and we did that to the full. We had only booked B&B but we found the food in the Buffet restaurant to be so good that we mainly ate there. A choice of 4 main courses every night and all you could wish for in starters and desserts. We have to give special praise to ALL of the staff who were always bright, happy, cheerful and really eager to please which is something we are not used to in the UK!! Small things like complimentary fruit cocktails delivered to your chair in the garden added to our enjoyment. It really is difficult to fault the hotel but perhaps one very small point is that our terrace although spacious did not have a particularly good view. Nicky did offer to move our room but we did not want the hassle of packing everything up.We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

To sum up we would give 10/10 to Prestige and 9.5/10 to the hotel.

Finally, thank you Hannah for making all the arrangements for us. 10/10 for you as well.

Should you wish to pass these comments on to Prestige we would be perfectly happy.
